INAUGURATION OF A NEW PRESIDENT
Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 2:21PM I wrote a couple months back about Election Day and what it meant to me to be voting that day. I believed that the United States had made a decision to make a change by voting for Barrack Obama. Now, the Inauguration of the man we voted for has happened and it has become a reality. I don't know what it will bring, but the fact that it happened is a change I didn't think would happen in the first place.
I spotted this LO in the ADSR Gallery at NDISB and asked the artist if I could post her amazing tribute to this change here and she agreed. It is a marvelous work of art that struck me in its composition and its movement and emotion.

Journaling reads:Today marks a new day is history. A dawn of a new era. Our America has turned a new page and has made history by electing and swearing in the first bi-racial president, Barrack Obama. It is amazing to be apart of this history, and it makes me proud to say I am apart of this pivotal time.
I look forward to Obama’s term as president and what his promise brings. I hope that this day will make a future impact on my children’s generation and that in the future they will understand just how this moment will have changed their lives.
This day proves that America is ready to move on...we are ready for change...we are ready for equality.
